2. Services
Ben in the Shed offers automotive service and repair for various vehicles. We will provide a detailed written estimate outlining the work and parts needed along with a price before commencing any repairs.
3. Parts and Warranty
- Warranty: We offer a warranty on our repairs, but only if the parts used are supplied by Ben in the Shed. This warranty covers defects in workmanship for a period of 14 days and 100 miles.
- Part Availability: We strive to provide genuine or brand new parts for all repairs. However, in some cases, these parts may not be readily available.
- If a genuine or brand new part is unavailable, we will inform you of the following:
- The type of part being used (e.g., aftermarket, used)
- The impact on the warranty (no warranty will be offered for non-supplied parts)
- You have the right to choose to proceed with the repair using the available part or to wait for a genuine/brand new part to become available (if possible).
4. Warranty Coverage
Our warranty covers defects in workmanship related to the repairs performed using parts supplied by Ben in the Shed. It does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear of parts
- Damage caused by improper use, neglect, or accidents
- Defects in parts not supplied by Ben in the Shed
- Labor costs associated with repairs not directly related to the original repair under warranty
- Consequential damages (e.g., rental car expenses)
- Repairs for issues not explicitly listed in the original repair confirmation or invoice from Ben in the Shed.
5. Payment
- Payment is due upon completion of the repairs unless otherwise agreed upon. We accept various payment methods (bank transfer and cash).
- We may require pre-payment for parts at our discretion, particularly for special order or non-returnable items. Once parts are ordered, even prior to work commencing, you are liable for the cost of the parts.
6. Customer Responsibilities
- You are responsible for providing accurate information about your vehicle and any existing problems.
- You are responsible for authorising repairs before we proceed, including any pre-payment for parts as required.
- You are responsible for picking up your vehicle within a reasonable timeframe after completion. Storage fees may apply for extended periods.
7. Disclaimer
We strive to provide high-quality repairs, but we cannot guarantee the complete elimination of existing or potential future vehicle problems.
8. Limitation of Liability
Our liability for any damages arising from our services is limited to the cost of the repairs performed using parts supplied by Ben in the Shed. We are not liable for any consequential damages or for repairs not related to the original confirmed repair work.

10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law.
